Carbon

Why should I take action?

Companies are facing increasing pressure to demonstrate reductions in their carbon emissions, through both voluntary commitments and emerging legislation.

Various intergovernmental efforts to reduce global emissions are ongoing, while private sector initiatives and solutions are developing and being implemented in parallel.

In the food sector, the majority of companies’ carbon footprints tend to lie in their supply chain, rather than in their direct operations. Understanding and tackling these emissions are key to success in the emerging green economy.
