Nature

Over half of global GDP is dependent on nature. Our growing understanding of these dependencies comes at a time when global biodiversity is in crisis.

Biodiversity is a measure of the richness of an ecosystem, and rich ecosystems provide tangible benefits to economies and human wellbeing. Our economic dependencies on healthy ecosystems are varied, but include access to clean water, protection from floods and droughts, pollination of crops, and dependable weather patterns. Agricultural commodity supply chains are particularly sensitive to nature degradation, so companies are building their resilience by improving biodiversity and working with nature-based solutions.

Whatever action you have taken and progress made, it is important to talk about it. Tell people what you have done and why. Be open. Be transparent.

There are different types of people whom you might want to communicate with customers and clients, employees, other businesses, governments and the general public. Be prepared to use a  variety of formats such as social media, apps, podcasts, reports that relate to both the topic you are talking about and to whom you are talking.
